100 Women Who Care Albany made a quick pivot because of the COVID-19 delta variant and turned the planned in-person Autgust 2021 meeting into a virtual one. This meeting saw the highest voting participation of any meeting we have ever had!
The three outstanding nominees for August 2021 were:
- The Red Bookshelf nomiated by Bonnie Mariano (https://www.theredbookshelf.org/)
- Capital District Women Veterans Christopher House nominated by Madeline Cafiero (https://www.cdwv.org/cdwv-christopher-house.html)
- Troy Albany Hockey Association nomiated by Karen Roy (https://www.troyalbanyyouthhockey.com/)
Congratulations to our August recipient, Capital District Women Veterans Program, whose primary mission is to help resolve the problem of homelessness and poverty among women veterans. CDWV believes that through supportive services, housing, and community with other women veterans those who are most in need will be able to return to productive and independent lives.

We will look forward to presenting the checks from our members to this worthy charity!
100 Women Who Care Albany continues to be grateful that we are able to meet virtually. Our local non-profits are doing exceptional work in the communities of the Capital Region. We encourage everyone to continue supporting our local non-profits.
Our next meeting will be November 11, 2021. We hope that this meeting will be in person. We continue to welcome new members. We look forward to finally getting to see our new and current members in person. Learn more here.
