100 Women Who Care Albany held our second virtual meeting in November 2020. With video presentations and online voting, we are committed to continuing our mission of making a positive impact to Capital District charities.
Our three nominations for November 2020 were:
- RISSE (Refugee and Immigration Services of Emmaus) – equip refugees and recent immigrants to build sustainable, independent lives
- Samaritan Counseling Center – provides counseling services to enhance lives by focusing holistically on their mind, body and spirit.
- The Red Bookshelf – Inspiring children to read by providing free children’s books on bright red bookshelves throughout Albany.
Congratulations to our November 2020 recipient, RISSE. In this age of COVID-19, the organization is experiencing increased expenses (due to social distancing) and reduced funding so our funding comes at a particular important time.
With the pandemic continuing to rage, non-profits need our help more than ever, our virtual meeting shows the enduring power of 100+ women coming together for the greater good of the community. A Simple Concept. A Big Impact.
Even as a virtual event, we had new members join us. Our next meeting will be held February 11, 2021. We look forward to new and current members participating. Learn more here.
